AHS Region 2 Winter Meeting 2012

For those who need a daylily fix, I recommend this meeting. I've gone to it for the last 5 years. The people are great and you will have the chance to talk to ME. LOL Here is a little promo of the event.

Hope to see you there.

The Video That Got Me Started

I realized that many of you haven't seen the first video I ever created. Well this is it. It is a compilation of a bunch of stills that I took over a couple of years set to classical music. I call it Morning Mist. It won the AHS Lazarus award in 2008. If it wasn't for that award, The Daylily Addict would never have come into being. I hope you enjoy it and as always you can visit www.TheDaylilyAddict.com for more free videos.

The Wonder of Nature

I’m constantly amazed at what nature presents to us if we take the time to look. When walking in the garden, woods, or meadow, I’m looking for the minute details that can easily be overlooked. Sometime our eyes can not discern the beauty and wonderment. Here is a short video that our unaided eyes can’t reveal.

What it takes to go to an American Hemerocallis Meeting

So what does an alarm clock set for 4:00 am, 36 twizzlers, 72 almonds, 16 ounces of diet Coke, 72 tracks of CCR(that’s Creedence Clearwater Revival for all of you under 40) get you? It gets you to the Mid-Winter Symposium that was held in Nashville. What a great time. If you haven’t been to an AHS winter meeting, you need to try it out. It’s a great fix for the winter blahs.
